Man Utd trio out of So'ton clash

Manchester United will be without the services of three first-team stars when they host Southampton in the Premier League tomorrow.

The Red Devils are currently sixth in the league standings following a frustrating 1-1 draw against Burnley on Tuesday night.

They will be keen to return to winning ways against the Saints, but ahead of the game, as many as three players have been ruled out.

Eric Bailly returned from international duty with the Ivory Coast with a swollen ankle, and is not fit to make his comeback.

Meanwhile, Fred is out after contracting coronavirus while Nemanja Matic has been sidelined with a shin injury suffered in training.

Ralf Rangnick has chosen Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes as his midfield trio in the past two games.

He has no choice but to rely on the same combination. Elsewhere, Rangnick has no plans to change the central defensive partnership.

Harry Maguire had a poor game at Burnley, but the German has backed him to prove himself when the Saints visit Old Trafford.
