Manchester United agree transfer terms for Brazilian midfielder
Manchester United have agreed to sanction the permanent sale of Andreas Pereira to Flamengo, according to Globo Esporte.
The midfielder joined the Brazilian heavyweights on loan last summer, and they had the option to buy him for around €20m.
However, the hierarchy were reluctant to meet the price, and they have now negotiated a lesser fee for the 26-year-old.
The club have reportedly agreed to pay €12.5m over a period of 34 months. The deal will include a 25 per cent sell-on clause.
The move is expected to be officially announced in the next few days. Pereira will sign a contract until December 2026.
Aside from Pereira, there could be several players leaving the club this year. Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata will be released in July.
Meanwhile, Anthony Martial, Phil Jones and Eric Bailly are expected to push for permanent transfers away from the club.
There is also speculation that Cristiano Ronaldo may look for an exit if the club fail to qualify for the Champions League.
