Arsenal to return for Lautaro Martinez?
Arsenal could make a fresh approach to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez this summer.
The Argentine was one of the top targets for the north London giants last summer, but they could not finalise a suitable deal.
Inter sold Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea in a club-record sale in August, and this meant that they had no plans of losing Martinez.
Martinez followed to sign a new contract until June 2026, but there continues to remain speculation regarding his future.
The Argentine has been valuable up front with 11 league goals this term, but the Nerazzurri won't rule out his future departure.
Their financial concerns have been well documented in recent times, and they could be open to selling him for the right price.
Martinez's £97.5m release clause was scrapped with the renewal, but the Gunners may need to pay close to that figure this summer.
The Gunners are expected to sign two centre-forwards with the expected departures of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.
