Manchester United favourites to land 17-goal striker

Manchester United are reportedly considered favourites to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane this summer.

The England international had a slow start to the current campaign, but he has picked up form with 17 goals in all competitions.

He will enter the final two years of his contract this summer, and Bild reports that United could become his next destination.

The Red Devils are ready to spend big during the next transfer window, having had a below-par Premier League campaign.

The club have their sights on landing Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager, and Kane would welcome a reunion.

Pochettino brought the best out of Kane at Spurs, and the duo have continued to remain a good association despite the former's exit.

Spurs wanted a hefty £160m from Manchester City last summer, but they may accept a lesser fee at the end of the campaign.

The club have not opened contract talks with Kane, but are aware that he could leave with the lack of Champions League football.
