Chelsea to re-sign Eden Hazard temporarily?

Chelsea are reportedly in negotiations with Real Madrid over a season-long loan stint for Eden Hazard.

The Belgian spent seven successful campaigns with the Blues before he made the move to Real Madrid in 2019.

He has since struggled to make any meaningful impact amid several injuries, and is no longer an assured starter.

Carlo Ancelotti has publicly confirmed the same. Marca now claims that Hazard could return to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are only looking at a season-long loan for the 31-year-old, and there will be no option to buy included.

Hazard is said to welcome his second coming with the Blues, but the deal may depend on him accepting a pay-cut.

He is currently on a staggering salary of around £400,000-a-week. The Blues may only be willing to pay half of the sum.

Hazard has made 22 appearances for Madrid this term, totalling just 877 minutes. He has bagged one goal and two assists in the process.
