Manchester United could swoop for Robert Lewandowski if he decides to leave Bayern Munich this summer, Bild reports.

The Poland international has been in sensational form for the German champions this term, bagging 43 goals from just 37 games.

Despite this, there are doubts over his future with his contract expiring in June 2023. Lewandowski is reportedly unhappy over his situation.

Bayern's hierarchy have yet to open talks over an improved deal. The 33-year-old is said to be surprised by the lack of interest shown by the club.

Amidst this, United have been contacted by his agent. They have made it clear that they would like to sign the striker in the near future.

Still, there are no assurances of that happening. Bayern have no plans of parting ways with their prized asset at the current point of time.

The board have always talked positively about Lewandowski, and it could be a matter of time before they open talks over a new long-term deal.
