Manchester United midfielder doubtful for Atletico game
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes is doubtful for the upcoming Champions League encounter against Atletico Madrid.
The Portuguese has been a key player in the number 10 role for United, but missed the recent Tottenham game with an illness.
It is now reported that Fernandes is likely to miss out on the midweek fixture against Atletico amid possible coronavirus concerns.
The Red Devils played out a 1-1 draw against Atletico in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie last month.
They were second best for most of the fixture, but came out of the game with a vital result. Anthony Elanga equalised off the bench.
Ahead of the return leg, they should be favourites, particularly after a resounding 3-2 win over Spurs on Saturday evening.
Cristiano Ronaldo was in stellar form with his first United hat-trick since 2008. He was the difference between the clubs.
United have now jumped to fourth in the Premier League, but Arsenal are just two points behind them with four matches in hand.
