Arsenal still interested in Philippe Coutinho?
Arsenal could attempt to sign Philippe Coutinho if Aston Villa are unable to afford a permanent deal this summer, Sport claims.
The Brazilian joined the Villans on loan from Barcelona in January, and has since impressed with four goals and three assists from 10 games.
The Midlands outfit have the option to buy him for €40 million this summer, but reports claim that the club are yet to make a decision.
According to Sport, the Gunners are keeping a close eye on the situation, and may move for Coutinho if Villa can't seal his transfer.
Barcelona are unlikely to offer any discounts for the player this summer following his stunning return to Premier League football.
Coutinho was far from impressive for the Villans during the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal yesterday. He registered just one shot on target.
Despite this, the Gunners could be tempted to sign him. Mikel Arteta recently acknowledged that he was a potential target for the club.
