Real Madrid ready to bid for Arsenal defender

Real Madrid are reportedly planning an ambitious bid to sign Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney this summer.

Tierney is currently in his third campaign with the north London giants, registering 87 appearances in all competitions.

He has had his fair share of injuries over the years, but has been an undisputed starter in the left-back role when fit for selection.

According to Sunday Post, Los Blancos are now planning a summer raid for the Scot, having watched him closely in recent weeks.

They are prepared to pay around £50m for the full-back. Such a sum could serious test the Gunners' resolve during the summer.

Tierney has been touted as a future captain for the Gunners, but there continues to remain the worry of him breaking down at some point.

His fitness record isn't the best. It remains to be seen how the Gunners react if Los Blancos make a formal bid around the quoted figure.

Tierney has made 25 appearances this campaign, bagging one goal.
