'I like Arsenal a lot': Dutchman reacts amid transfer interest
PSV Eindhoven attacker Cody Gakpo has spoken about his admiration for Arsenal ahead of a possible summer transfer.
Gakpo has been in sensational form for PSV this campaign, bagging 17 goals and 15 assists from just 38 games in all competitions.
His form has caught the eye of several elite European clubs, but it has been claimed that Arsenal are favourites to sign him.
Amidst this, Gakpo has spoken about his admiration for the north London giants and Thierry Henry, who was an idol of his.
"I don't favour one team but I like Arsenal a lot. I looked up to Henry when I was younger because he was a tall guy who played on the wing," he said.
Gakpo signed a new contract earlier this year, but there is still a gentleman's agreement that he could leave PSV this summer.
The Dutch outfit are willing to sell him for around €40 million, and it remains to be seen whether the Gunners pay the fee.
Aside from the Gunners, Manchester City, Liverpool and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the versatile forward.
