Martial confirms Man Utd return

Anthony Martial has confirmed that he will be returning to Manchester United following his short-term loan stint at Sevilla.

The Frenchman barely played for the Red Devils during the first half of the current season, and was loaned out to Sevilla in January.

He has since struggled to make his mark with just one goal and one assist from 10 games. There has been plenty of fan criticism towards him.

Speaking to ABC Sevilla, Martial has now said that it will be 'very complicated' to continue at the club with no buy clause negotiated.

He said: "I see it very complicated to be able to continue at Sevilla. I'm not worried about that right now. I came knowing that it would be six months and then I would surely have to return to Manchester United."

Martial has been a huge disappointment since his mid-season move to Seville. The La Liga outfit are far from pleased with his efforts.

The 26-year-old was signed to boost their title prospects, but nothing of that sort has happened. Instead, the club are now closer to fifth-placed Real Betis.

Martial will return to the Red Devils over the summer, but it is highly likely that he will be offloaded to recoup funds for a spending spree.
