Rudiger to Tottenham?

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger will reportedly meet Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte to discuss a summer move.

The Germany international has less than three months remaining on his existing contract, and it appears he could be leaving on a free transfer.

The Blues are currently restricted from negotiating a renewal due to the sanctions imposed by the UK government on owner Roman Abramovich.

That will change with the expected takeover over the next few weeks, but Rudiger could still leave as the club may not meet his wage demands.

The central defender is eyeing wages of around £300,000-a-week, but the Blues are unlikely to pay anything more than £180,000-a-week.

Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have been linked with him, but Sport claims that Spurs could also be a potential destination for the German.

Conte signed Rudiger for Chelsea five years ago. The defender plans to discuss a potential Bosman move with the Italian in the coming days.

Rudiger was previously on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur in 2019 when Jose Mourinho was manager. The Blues rejected a season-long loan proposal.
