Barcelona make Antonio Rudiger transfer decision

Antonio Rudiger news

Rudiger no longer on Barcelona's radar

Barcelona won't be pursuing the services of Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger this summer, according to SportBild.

The German has under three months remaining on his Blues contract, and he has been touted for a fresh challenge elsewhere.

The Catalan giants have been linked with him in recent weeks, but Bild claims that they have cooled their pursuit of the centre-back.

The Blaugrana are currently on the verge of negotiating a new deal with Ronald Araujo after multiple contract stand-offs this term.

Meanwhile, they have a deal in place to sign Chelsea's Andreas Christensen on a free transfer after his contract expires this summer.

The club are still looking for another centre-back, but the thought of landing Rudiger has been neglected due to his high wage demands.

Rudiger has been in excellent form for the Blues this campaign. He has put in several stand-out performances to earn plaudits from the fans.

He is on demand ahead of the summer. Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Tottenham are all looking to sign him.
