Ralf Rangnick recommends two signings for Man Utd
Manchester United's interim manager Ralf Rangnick has revealed that he has recommended two signings for the club this summer.
The Red Devils have had a disappointing Premier League campaign and they are currently lying sixth with five games to play.
Amidst this, Rangnick has acknowledged that there could be several signings this summer with a couple recommended by him.
He told Sky Sports: "There might be a couple of players – and I have already named those players to the board – that independent from formation, from style of football, and independent from a new manager, that could be of interest for a club like United."
Erik ten Hag will be the permanent manager of the club from July. The Dutchman will be backed with funds for new signings.
The 52-year-old tends to prefer young players with potential, but the board are also planning to pursue a couple of marquee recruits.
They have a long-term interest in Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane, but it could be hard to lure him without Champions League football.
RB Leipzig playmaker Christopher Nkunku is also on their radar, but the Frenchman may likewise snub them for the same reason.
