Arsenal keen on signing Bayern Munich midfielder?
Arsenal are keen on signing Bayern Munich midfielder Marcel Sabitzer, German outlet Bild reports.
The 28-year-old has made 29 appearances for the Bundesliga champions this term, but the vast majority have come off the bench.
He has hardly impressed with just one goal, and Bild claims that he will be allowed to leave at the end of the ongoing campaign.
The Gunners were hot on the trail of Sabitzer last summer but the Austrian chose to continue in the German top-flight with Bayern.
The decision has not proved worthwhile. Mikel Arteta's side are now preparing a fresh approach for his services this summer.
Bayern are willing to sell him for a fee of around €15 million. The Gunners have a keen interest, but will face strong competition.
Atletico Madrid have also been keeping tabs on Sabitzer in recent months. The Gunners may need Champions League football to lure him.
They are currently level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, but Spurs have a superior goal difference over them.
