Arsenal to make final contract offer to striker
Arsenal will make a final contract offer to Eddie Nketiah this month, The Daily Mail reports.
The Gunners graduate has been sparingly used by manager Mikel Arteta this term, but he has started the last three Premier League games.
Nketiah scored a brace at Chelsea and has followed up with impressive performances against Manchester United and West Ham United.
It is now reported that the hierarchy are planning to make a fresh contract proposal to Nketiah whose deal expires at the end of June.
The 21-year-old has been reluctant to sign a renewal due to the lack of minutes, and it remains to be seen whether his stance changes anytime soon.
The Gunners are planning to pursue two strikers this summer. Nketiah may once again struggle for first-team football in such a situation.
With high-profile interest from Bundesliga clubs, it won't be a surprise if the striker snubs the offer to secure a free transfer to the German top-flight.
