Real Madrid are still considering the possibility of signing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, Sport claims.

Pogba's contract with United expires at the end of June, and he is widely expected to leave them on a free transfer.

Manchester City, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with him, and it appears Madrid are also interested.

The La Liga champions have been long-term admirers of Pogba and they tried to sign him before his Old Trafford move in 2016.

They have since been linked with him on numerous occasions, and Sport claims that Los Blancos have not ruled out an approach.

Carlo Ancelotti is eyeing another experienced midfielder in the squad with the prospect of Luka Modric leaving in 12 months' time.

Pogba has been identified as a potential summer target, but a free transfer could depend on him accepting a reasonable pay-cut.

He is currently earning around £290,000-a-week. Los Blancos may offer him a significant signing-on fee to compensate for his wages.
