Arsenal face Brentford competition for left-back

Arsenal are set to face competition from Brentford in the race to sign Bologna left-back Aaron Hickey, Daily Mail claims.
The Gunners are keen admirers of the Scotland international, and they have already held talks with the Serie A outfit over a summer deal.
However, a move does not appear straightforward. Brentford are also in the race, and it is claimed that they have a long-term interest.
Arsenal are prepared to pay around £17 million for the 19-year-old, who they see as a potential back-up option to Kieran Tierney next term.
On the other hand, Brentford are prepared to offer him a regular starting spot, and this could boost their chances of landing his signature.
Aside from the duo, Newcastle United have also been credited with an interest, and they could yet prove strong competitors for the player.
The Magpies are now owned by a Saudi-led consortium. They signed Bruno Guimaraes from Lyon in the last transfer window ahead of the Gunners.
