Chelsea want to replace Marcos Alonso with Brighton star?
Chelsea have identified Brighton & Hove Albion's Marc Cucurella as a potential replacement for wantaway star Marcos Alonso.
Alonso is about to enter the final year of his contract, and reports claim that he is desperate to make the switch to Barcelona this summer.
Amidst this, the Blues are already looking at possible replacements, and The Sun reports that Cucurella is one of the top candidates.
The Spaniard had a superb debut season at Brighton last term. He ended the season on a high note, winning the club's Player of the Year award.
Cucurella has since acknowledged that he would like a bigger challenge elsewhere, and it remains to be seen whether the Blues sign him.
Brighton are holding out for at least £45 million for the left wing-back/left-back, who is also on the radar of Man City and Tottenham.
The Blues can benefit from signing him, given he has also been comfortable playing from the left side of the back three for Brighton.
