Van de Beek to play under Ten Hag at United

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is prepared to work with midfielder Donny van de Beek next season, reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano claims.

The Dutchman joined the Red Devils from Ajax in the summer of 2020, but he has since made just four Premier League starts for them.

He was loaned out to Everton in January, but the move was likewise unsuccessful. He was a regular in the XI before a lengthy injury.

It is now reported that Van de Beek is in the plans of Ten Hag. The Netherland star is expected to play a role in the first-team next season.

Van de Beek built his reputation at Ajax under Ten Hag, and a reunion at Old Trafford could bring the best out of the 25-year-old next term.

He has looked lost in confidence amid his limited first-team football, but his fortunes could improve under the experienced Dutch manager.

Van de Beek is capable of playing in the central and attacking midfield roles. However, he has looked more comfortable in the latter of those.
