Chelsea midfielder wanted by Inter Milan

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has emerged as a potential transfer target for Inter Milan this summer.

The England international made 40 appearances for the Blues last term, but the majority of those came off the bench.

It is now reported that the Nerazzurri are interested in signing him, but they would prefer an initial loan agreement.

The Blues are likely to turn down the proposal, but have not ruled out the prospect of sanctioning a permanent deal.

Loftus-Cheek has been attracting interest from multiple Premier League clubs including Southampton and West Ham.

He is valued at around £17 million, and could be the subject of a bidding battle when the transfer window reopens.

The Blues may already have readymade replacements for him in the form of Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour.

Both of them were away on temporary deals last summer, but could be integrated into Thomas Tuchel's plans.

Gallagher in particular has been tipped for big things at Chelsea. Only time will tell whether he can make an impact.
