Arsenal readying bumper deal for Brazilian star?
Arsenal are prepared to hand a bumper salary to Gabriel Jesus if he joins them from Manchester City this summer.
The Brazilian has been identified as the top striker target for manager Mikel Arteta, and talks are already underway with his agent.
According to The Sun, the Gunners seem best placed to sign him despite missing out on Champions League football.
They are set to offer a £80,000 increase on his current £110,000-a-week wages. No other European club is willing to do so.
The Gunners will still need to agree a suitable transfer fee with the Cityzens. Jesus is reportedly valued at around £50 million.
Arsenal are planning to pursue at least two strikers this summer. Aside from Jesus, they appear to have an eye on Memphis.
The Netherlands international has been fancied to leave Barcelona this summer amid their ongoing financial problems.
He could be available for around £25m. The Gunners may face competition from Juventus and Inter Milan for his services.
