Chelsea targeting Wolves' French star Rayan Ait Nouri

Chelsea are considered front runners to sign Wolves left-back Rayan Ait Nouri.

Ait Nouri was initially signed on loan from Angers in 2020 before Wolves made the move permanent for around £10 million last summer. In the 2021/22 season the 21-year-old made 23 appearances in the Premier League, recording one goal and four assists across all competitions for Wolves in 2021/22.



The defender has long been monitored by some of Europe’s biggest clubs with Manchester City and PSG highly interested. However, Chelsea's style of play may suit him more and a transfer could be sorted shortly. The London club are looking for  as a potential replacement for Marcos Alonso - who looks set to return to Spain. 



Offers in the region of £25m will reportedly be considered by Wolves. Wolves wouldn’t be entitled to all of that fee with Angers understood to hold a 50 percent sell-on clause on Ait-Nouri. If Ait Nouri joins Chelsea we expect him to be a squad player, and more of a back up for Ben Chilwell. But, that doesn't mean that he will not get solid gametime, as Chelsea will have a lot of fixtures, both in domestic and European cups.
