Arsenal confirm signing of versatile winger
Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Sao Paulo winger Marquinhos on a long-term deal.
The Gunners agreed a £3m fee for the Brazilian teenager back in May, and they have now officially confirmed the transfer.
The 19-year-old is capable of playing from both wings, but prefers to operate from the right flank. He is left-footed by trade.
The youngster has impressed with his dribbling and finishing ability, and could be a player to watch out for in the future.
It is unclear whether he would be granted work a permit, considering he has yet to represent his country at the international level.
Gabriel Martinelli got his UK visa with an Italian passport, but the same does not appear the case for the highly-rated Marquinhos.
He has already been compared to Martinelli for his progression, and only time will tell whether he can become a key player.
Marquinhos will be involved in pre-season for the Gunners and he could then be loaned out if he does not receive a work permit.
