Chelsea fancied to sign Jules Kounde for £52m
Chelsea have been tipped to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde in a deal worth £52 million this summer.
The west London giants are long-term admirers of the Frenchman. They tried to sign him last summer, but could not convince Sevilla.
The Blues are now back in the hunt for him, and Marca reports that personal terms have already been agreed with the centre-back.
It is added that a deal of around £52m could be finalised over the coming days. Sevilla want to finalise his exit before June 30.
Barcelona are also interested in the ex-Bordeaux graduate, but Sevilla prefer to sell him abroad rather than to a direct LaLiga rival.
The Catalan giants have been following Kounde's situation in recent months, but they are not in a financially strong position to compete.
Meanwhile, Kounde recently underwent a surgery for a pelvic problem, but that is unlikely to hamper his prospects of joining Chelsea.
The 23-year-old is expected to be fit ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
