Arsenal have strong interest in winger - David Ornstein
Arsenal continue to maintain a strong interest in signing Leeds United winger Raphinha this summer, The Athletic's David Ornstein claims.
The Brazil international was instrumental in keeping Leeds in the Premier League last term, registering 10 goals and three assists.
He is now determined to pursue a bigger challenge, and the Gunners have emerged as one of the main contenders to sign him.
As per Ornstein, their opening bid for the attacker was turned down, but the north London club continue to have a 'strong interest'.
They are prepared to prolong their pursuit of the former Rennes man, but it could be a long process amid fierce competition.
Barcelona, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are among the other contenders, who can offer Champions League football to him.
As things stand, none of them are prepared to meet the reported price tag of around £65 million for the 25-year-old winger.
This transfer saga could go down to the wire with Leeds prepared to play hardball until their valuation is met by any club.
