Manchester United have not made any approach to sign Porto striker Evanilson this summer, reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano claims.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with the Brazilian in recent days with reports suggesting that they have offered around €70m for him.

However, this has been dismissed by Romano, who insists that United have no interest whatsoever. Evanilson is not on the club's transfer radar.

United are yet to make a summer signing, and this has created some anxiety among the fans, who have yet to see any kind of squad rebuild.

There have been suggestions that United could sign as many as six players during the transfer window, but there has been no activity to date.

Frenkie de Jong is obviously the top priority for the summer, but United are yet to come close to the €80m fee demanded by the Blaugrana.

They made an initial of €60m plus add-ons which was rejected. The club are still contemplating whether to make a renewed transfer offer.
