Chelsea confident of signing Raheem Sterling
Chelsea are confident of signing Raheem Sterling from Manchester City irrespective of their pursuit of Raphinha.
The Blues are aiming to sign two forwards this summer and they are currently on the verge of signing one of them.
A deal worth £65m has been agreed with Leeds United for Raphinha, and the Brazilian will sign for them in the coming days.
According to The Telegraph, the move for Raphinha won't have any impact on the ongoing pursuit to land Sterling.
Their opening offer of around £21m plus add-ons was rejected, but a new bid of around £45m is expected this week.
City are holding out for around £52m, but the Blues are optimistic that they can secure the England international for less.
The arrivals of the duo could coincide with potential exits. Romelu Lukaku is set to rejoin Inter Milan on a season loan.
Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech are also expected to leave the London giants with widespread interest from Serie A clubs.
