Man Utd agree personal terms with Serie A star

Strakosha to join Man Utd soon

Manchester United have agreed personal terms with former Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha, according to 90min.

The Red Devils have been on the look out for a deputy goalkeeper after sending out Dean Henderson to Nottingham Forest on loan.

They were linked with Watford's Daniel Bachmann earlier this summer, but are now on the verge of landing Strakosha on a free transfer.

The Albanian is a free-agent following the expiry of his Lazio deal. He has now agreed personal terms ahead of a move to Old Trafford.

Strakosha is set to become United's second signing of the summer transfer window after the arrival of Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord.

He is expected to play the back-up role to David de Gea, but could also fancy his chances of becoming the number one in future.

United boss Erik ten Hag prefers goalkeepers who are comfortable playing out from the back, and De Gea is far from convincing in doing so.

Strakosha, on the other hand, is a much better distributor of the ball and he could become the first choice if De Gea struggles to impress.
