Chelsea target misses pre-season tour with Leeds United

Chelsea target Raphinha won't be travelling with Leeds United for their pre-season tour of Australia this month.

The Brazil international has his sights on a big-club move this summer, but a transfer has yet to materialise.

Chelsea recently finalised a fee of around £60 million with Leeds for him, but he has yet to agree on personal terms.

His first preference remains to join Barcelona, but the Catalan giants are not close to matching the Blues' offer.

Xavi Hernandez's side have made an opening bid of around £50 million, but the offer is said to be add-on heavy.

Hence, Leeds have no plans to sell him to the La Liga club. It remains to be seen whether they make a better offer.

Until then, Raphinha is willing to play the waiting game, and this could drag on for the next few weeks at least.

Chelsea have still not withdrawn their proposal, and remain hopeful that Raphinha will choose them in the end.
