Chelsea set to sign Kalidou Koulibaly?
Chelsea are reportedly on the verge of signing Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Senegal international has been a long-term target for the west London giants. He was first on their radar in 2016 under manager Antonio Conte.
After several years of speculation, it appears the Blues are on the cusp of signing the centre-back, who is regarded as one of Serie A's best.
According to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Chelsea have finalised a deal worth €40 million with Napoli for the transfer of the experienced defender.
The 31-year-old has already agreed personal terms over a three-year contract, and he is expected to undergo his medical over the coming days.
Koulibaly has spent the past eight years in the Italian top-flight with Napoli. The Serie A outfit once valued him in excess of €120 million.
The club recently offered him a new deal beyond next summer, but it seems Koulibaly has now decided to pursue a fresh challenge with the Blues.
