Frenkie de Jong prefers summer move to Chelsea
Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong prefers a move to Chelsea over Manchester United this summer, Sport claim.
The Netherlands international has been the subject of strong interest from the Red Devils, and they have already agreed a fee.
However, the 25-year-old has no intention of joining them after their failure to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Moreover, the midfielder is also reluctant to switch to Manchester. He is not seduced by the climatic conditions of the city.
According to Sport, De Jong could still move to the Premier League this summer if Chelsea were to make an approach.
He is open to settling in the English capital, but the Blues have yet to make a genuine attempt to sign him from the Catalan giants.
Chelsea are reluctant to pay a similar fee as United (£71m) while they need to sanction player sales to make room for him.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ross Barkley and Billy Gilmour are among players that could make way for his arrival this summer.
