Arsenal set to sell German star to London club
Arsenal have reached an agreement with Fulham for the sale of goalkeeper Bernd Leno this summer.
The German has been with the Gunners since the summer of 2018, but he is set to leave the club in the coming days.
Leno became the second-choice keeper last season following the arrival of Aaron Ramsdale from Sheffield United.
He has fallen further down the pecking order with Matt Turner's signing, and it is only a matter of time before he leaves.
Leno had the chance to play European football with a foreign club, but he has chosen to continue in the English capital.
The Gunners were initially eyeing £10 million for him, but they have now accepted a figure in the region of £8m.
The move should benefit Leno, who will be assured with regular minutes ahead of the World Cup later this year.
Leno is determined to return to Germany's squad for the major showpiece.
Meanwhile, he could play a key role in Fulham's survival. They have been relegated in the last two top-flight seasons.
