Antony to United unlikely

Manchester United don't intend to sign Antony unless Ajax are willing to lower their asking price.

The Red Devils have the Brazilian as one of their top attacking targets, but a deal seems improbable at the moment.

United made an opening bid of €60m last month, but in response, they were told to come up with an €80m offer.

Ajax have since increased the asking price to €100m, and Sky Sports claim that a deal is completely off as of now.

Antony is said to be keen on reuniting with manager Erik ten Hag, having worked together at Ajax for two seasons.

However, the Dutch champions are unlikely to budge on the price tag. United look set to face defeat in the pursuit.

Meanwhile, United have also been linked with a move for highly-rated striker Benjamin Sesko from RB Salzburg.

The 19-year-old has made a big impression in his short career, and won't come on the cheap with a price tag of €66m.
