Arsenal to receive just £3m up front for Bernd Leno
Arsenal will receive just £3m up front from Fulham for the purchase of goalkeeper Bernd Leno, The Athletic's David Ornstein claims.
The north London giants have allowed the Germany international to join the Cottagers, but it appears the deal is largely based on add-ons.
They will receive only £3m on the goalkeeper's departure. A further £1m will be paid based on his Premier League appearances.
Meanwhile, another £4m will be paid if Fulham stay in the Premier League next season and the one to follow (£2m per campaign).
Leno was always determined to continue in the English capital, and it appears the Cottagers have sealed a genuine bargain deal.
The German has terrific reflexes between the sticks. He could play a key role for them as they aim to avoid another top-flight relegation.
Fulham have been relegated in the last two Premier League campaigns, but will be hoping to avoid the fate again. Leno will be instrumental for them.
