Sevilla enter talks to sign Manchester United defender
Sevilla have entered talks with Manchester United to sign defender Alex Telles, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Brazilian has been with the Red Devils since the summer of 2020, but his future is in doubt beyond the summer.
United recently signed Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord. Telles is now the third-choice left-back with Luke Shaw also preferred ahead of him.
With the World Cup around the corner, the 29-year-old is desperate to play regularly, and it appears Sevilla could offer him an escape route.
The LaLiga outfit signed Anthony Martial on a short-term loan deal earlier this year, and they are now planning to land Telles in a similar move.
However, a deal would largely depend on the Red Devils, considering they are only willing to pay part of his £93,000-a-week wages.
United will need to make an equal contribution for Telles to leave. Meanwhile, Porto have ruled out a reunion with the defender.
Telles made nearly 200 appearances for the Primeira Liga giants, but the club are not looking to sign a new left-back this summer.
