Man Utd hold initial talks for RB Salzburg sensation
Manchester United have held initial talks with Red Bull Salzburg for Benjamin Sesko, Sky Sports report.
The Red Devils are eager to bolster their centre-forward ranks this summer, and Sesko has been earmarked as the top target.
The club have recently opened discussions with Salzburg, but Sky Sports report that there are far off from negotiating a deal.
During the talks, United have found out a big gap in valuation, and they are now assessing whether to pursuing Sesko's services.
United were initially hoping to sign Sesko for around £25m, but Salzburg are quite clear that they want in excess of £45m for him.
It is certainly a huge outlay for an inexperienced player, but Sesko has shown that he has the potential to become a world-beater.
He has been dubbed as the new Erling Braut Haaland, and United would not want to miss out on his services to their rivals.
Chelsea, Newcastle United as well as Paris Saint-Germain are said to have made contact with the player's representative.
