Man Utd pushing to sign Arsenal attacking target
Manchester United are reportedly pushing to sign reported Arsenal target Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven.
The Red Devils had initially earmarked Antony as their top attacking target, but a deal seems improbable at the moment.
Ajax have set a staggering asking price of £84m, and United have no plans of meeting the price tag at the current point of time.
Hence, they are expected to look at alternative options, and ESPN report that the club have already spoken with Gakpo's agents.
It is added that the 23-year-old has given the green light for the transfer, and United will soon proceed to negotiate with PSV.
The Dutch Cup champions are prepared to sanction the attacker's sale this summer, provided their £35m asking price is met.
Gakpo should be a quality addition to the United ranks. He is a left-winger by trade, but can also play as a centre-forward.
He contributed an impressive 21 goals and 15 assists last term. He will have a much difficult challenge on his hands at United.
