Rabiot set for Man Utd transfer

Manchester United are one step away from signing midfielder Adrien Rabiot from Juventus, according to La Repubblica.

The Red Devils have already finalised a transfer package with the Bianconeri for the 27-year-old, and they are now discussing personal terms.

United football director John Murtough has personally travelled to Turin to discuss with Rabiot's representative, who is also his mother.

There is an anticipation that the transfer is 'close to conclusion' and it appears only a matter of time before the Frenchman joins United.

Rabiot is on course to become United's fourth arrival of the summer transfer window after Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez.

All three of the previous signings were made under manager Erik ten Hag's personal recommendation, and the same goes for Rabiot as well.

Rabiot was initially keen on joining a Champions League side, but agreed to join United after a personal call from the head coach.

The France international has also been tempted by the stature of United despite their regular shortcomings over the past six campaigns.
