Fulham and Everton chase Bamba Dieng
Fulham and Everton are both chasing the signature of Bamba Dieng, the Marseille forward who is likely to leave the Ligue 1 club this summer after being told he is no longer required in the first team. With Richarlison leaving the Toffees, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin injured, the club are desperate to find a new striker, as are Everton who are concerned that Aleksandar Mitrovic could run out of gas as the season wears on.
The 20-year-old forced his way into Marseille's first team squad last season, appearing 25 times and scoring 7 goals, but has been told he is free to leave if a suitable offer is received. The Senegal striker, who has 11 caps and 1 goal for his country, will be allowed to leave for just 8 million if a club wishes to make a move.
Everton have struggled so far this season and manager Frank Lampard knows that he must add new names to his squad if his club are to succeed this campaign, meanwhile Fulham have not made as much progress as anticipated in the transfer market this summer and are expected to be busy right up to transfer deadline day.
