Dele Alli to leave Everton for Besiktas
Misfit midfielder Dele Alli is on the verge of leaving Everton with Turkish side Besiktas his likely next destination. The 26-year-old, who scored 51 Premier League goals in 181 games for Tottenham between 2015 and 2022, arrived at Everton last year on a free transfer.
One benchmark for Everton is the payment of £10 million once Dele played a part in 20 league games, and having appeared just 13 times so far for the Toffees, Alli now looks set to be given the green light to exit the club.
It is a staggering fall from grace for the England midfielder, who has 37 caps and 3 goals for his country between 2015 and 2019.
Besiktas are currently coached by Valerien Ismael and are looking to improve on their disappointing 6th place finish in the Super Lig last year. The Turkish club have a host of English representation, with five English analysts and coaches working under Ismael. Besiktas also have forward Cenk Tosun, a former Everton player himself, on the books.
It is understood that Besiktas will also sign Alli on a free transfer.
