Man Utd handed big injury boost ahead of Liverpool clash

Martial fit for Liverpool clash

Manchester United have been handed a big injury boost with Anthony Martial returning to team training this week.

The Frenchman sustained a hamstring injury against Atletico Madrid on July 30, and subsequently missed the first two games of the league campaign.

He has, however, made a timely comeback to training before the Liverpool encounter, and Erik ten Hag confirmed the same in his press conference.

Martial's availability is definitely a huge boost for the Red Devils, but he may not be rushed into the starting line-up unless he is deemed fully fit.

Meanwhile, Victor Lindelof has not been able to recover from an injury of his own, and he has been ruled out of Monday's encounter against Liverpool.

United have made a dismal start to the new season with two losses. They are currently 20th in the league standings with zero points on the board.

They can ill-afford another defeat, but things are looking gloomy at the moment. Liverpool will be overwhelming favourites to beat them.
