Arsenal plan late swoop for Youri Tielemans
Arsenal are prepared to make a late raid to sign Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, according to HLN.
The north London giants are long-term admirers of the Belgium international and tried to sign him during his Anderlecht days.
They continue to remain interested in him, and according to HLN, the club could make a late bid before the transfer deadline next week.
Leicester valued Tielemans at £30 million earlier this summer, but they are expected to lower the fee to £20 million with the window closing.
Tielemans has already entered the final year of his contract with the Foxes, and he has no intention of penning a new deal with the club.
Arsenal continue to remain the side in pole position to sign him, and a transfer could be finalised before the window slams shut.
Tielemans is seen as a potential competitor to Granit Xhaka, though he may start on the bench, considering the Swiss' excellent form this term.
