Barcelona reduce asking price for Chelsea target Aubameyang
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could still move back to the Premier League this summer, after Chelsea were informed that the Gabon international will be allowed to leave for a fee of 7.5 million euros. The former Arsenal attacker, who left the Emirates after a string of disciplinary issues, has been informed that he is no longer required at the Nou Camp.
Chelsea are desperately looking for a new striker before the transfer window slams shut, and have earmarked Auba as their primary target. Barcelona signed the forward on a free transfer in January, and are now demanding a transfer fee for the player. Initially, Barcelona had quoted Chelsea 15 million euros for the player, but now have reduced their quote by half.
This appears to have cleared the path for an Aubameyang return to London. Thomas Tuchel is very close to the striker, having managed the player during Tuchel's spell coaching Borussia Dortmund.
It is understood that Aubameyang is so confident that a deal will be agreed with the Blues, that he has already started shipping his vehicles back to London once more, and has taken his London home off of the real estate market.
