Erik ten Hag provides injury update on Anthony Martial
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has provided a fresh injury update on Anthony Martial.
Martial has been sidelined with an Achilles injury for the past few weeks, and there has been no progress thus far.
Speaking in today's press conference, Ten Hag said that the Frenchman is still recovering and is not in a position to play yet.
He said: "Yes, he's [Martial] still out, he's progressing, but he's not ready to play."
Martial was in superb form for the Red Devils in pre-season, but got injured right before the new league campaign started.
He overcame his hamstring concern before the Liverpool game, but sustained an Achilles injury playing against Jurgen Klopp's side.
Ten Hag initially said that the issue was not serious, but considering his extended absence from the field, it could well be the case.
In the absence of Martial, Marcus Rashford has excelled leading the line. He bagged two goals and an assist against Arsenal last weekend.
