Chelsea sack Thomas Tuchel
Chelsea have decided to sack Thomas Tuchel following the club's Champions League group stage defeat to Dinamo Zagreb.
The German tactician was allowed to spend over £250 million on signings this summer, but he has now been surprisingly sacked.
The news will come as a surprise for many Chelsea fans, but the club's owners have decided that it was the right choice for them.
Tuchel had lost the dressing room right from pre-season and the situation had not improved at the start of the current campaign.
With the way things are going in the Premier League, the owners felt that a new manager was needed to secure a top-four finish.
Brighton & Hove Albion's Graham Potter is the odd-ons favourite to become the new head coach, and he could join as early as tomorrow.
He has been permitted to hold talks with the Blues. The London giants are prepared to meet the £16m release clause on his Brighton deal.
