Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang offered reassurances over Chelsea future
Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been offered reassurances over his future following the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel.
The Blues sacked the German manager on Wednesday morning following the club's surprise 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb on the road.
Aubameyang was one of the players shocked by the decision, but chairman Todd Boehly has assured him that he has a big role to play.
The 33-year-old returned to the Premier League after just six months to reunite with Tuchel, who was previously his former Dortmund boss.
However, he managed to play just 58 minutes under him. Aubameyang will now work under Graham Potter, who is the new head coach.
Despite Tuchel's exit, Aubameyang is said to be determined to make a mark with Chelsea, having made the personal choice to leave Barcelona.
The west London giants also have the belief that the Gabon star will prove a big player for them once he regains his match sharpness.
Chelsea are due to face Fulham on the road on Saturday.
