Arsenal could make the surprise decision to loan out Marquinhos during the January transfer window, according to The Sun.

The Brazilian joined the Gunners from Sao Paulo this summer. He was their first summer signing for a reported fee of £3m.

The teenager has already made a big impression with a goal on his debut, but manager Mikel Arteta is open to loaning him out.

As per The Sun, the Spanish tactician wants to sign a marquee winger in January, and this could lead to Marquinhos' exit.

Arteta believes the 19-year-old needs more first-team exposure which is unlikely to happen with the Gunners this season.

Marquinhos' only appearance this campaign has come in the Europa League. He has yet to play a single Premier League minute.

He may get some game time with the hectic schedule next month, but the chances are very less that he will be starting matches.

Bukayo Saka is the undisputed right winger for the Gunners in the league. He has played at least 84 minutes in each game this term.
