Christian Eriksen speaks out after Manchester derby defeat
Manchester United star Christian Eriksen has expressed his disappointment following the club's heavy Manchester derby defeat.
The Red Devils were simply outclassed by the Cityzens at the Etihad Stadium earlier today. They suffered a disappointing 6-3 loss.
Eriksen was one of several players that underperformed, and speaking after the game, the Dane accepted that a lot of things must change.
He said: "There are a lot of things we need to change and a lot of things we need to do better. Today was far from acceptable from what we should be doing."
United were in terrific form before the international break. They beat the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal in a four-match winning league run.
It was anticipated that they would give a good fight to the Cityzens, but Pep Guardiola's side were simply too good in all departments of the field.
The game was definitely a reality check for the Red Devils and it remains to be seen how they react. They have no time to ponder over the loss.
United have another 12 games in the space of just six weeks. Ten Hag will be determined to revive the form shown before the internationals.
