Liverpool to sign Chelsea target Declan Rice?
Liverpool are reportedly plotting an approach to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice next summer.
The Reds have made a dismal start to the Premier League campaign, picking up just 10 points from eight matches.
There has been a genuine weakness in the centre of the park, but it seems unlikely that a solution will be found in January.
Instead, the hierarchy are prepared to wait until next summer and Football Insider claim that Rice is on their radar.
Rice has been long linked with a return to his former club Chelsea, but the huge £150 million price tag has been a stumbling block.
However, the situation could change next summer when Rice enters the final two years of his deal with the Hammers.
The east London outfit could lower their asking price which could pave the way for one of the elite clubs to sign him.
Jurgen Klopp is said to be a huge admirer of the England star. Only time will tell whether the Reds can land his services.
